Food Recommendations around Vancouver!
Vancouver is a city full of diversity and wonderful food. Over the past month, I have explored different restaurants in Vancouver to try out all the various kinds of dishes we have. I have culminated some of my favorites in this article.
Fassil on Broadway and Fraser has amazing Ethiopian food. I tried the Kitfo, which is a beef dish cooked with different kinds of butter and hot pepper. The hot pepper was a bit too much for me as I have a low spice tolerance, but if you can deal with spice it is simply amazing. It was served with Injera, which is a type of flatbread that you eat the Kitfo with. It was a big portion, and I was stuffed by the end Everything was delicious, and I am definitely looking forward to going back again!
One night, I was craving Mexican food, so my mom and I headed to Las Tortas, located on Cambie Street. For drinks, we both ordered Horchatas, which is something I haven't had since last March. I got the Cubana - a pulled pork Torta. My mom got the Carne Asada, which is an Asada beef Torta. For dessert, we got the Mexican Flan to share. I love anything remotely pudding-like, so this was the perfect dessert. I recommend this place if you are looking for lots of variety and filling food.
